One of AETEA'S direct clients is seeking a Junior Network Analyst to join their global team. Below is the high level overview that outlines the position in specific detail Key Responsibilities Ensures the stable operation of the Corporate network and all connected infrastructure Analyzes and resolves tickets that are assigned to the Connectivity queue in a timely and accurate fashion Investigate, diagnose and resolve network incidents and problems using available tools and engaging external suppliers where necessary Develop and deliver two continuous process improvements (CPI) annually Daily Responsibilities Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, APrsquos and UPSs Provide first level support and troubleshooting for local and remote offices and staff. Perform network diagnostics and capacity planning Assist in the planning and execution of life cycle management for all infrastructure Update CMDB including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports Recommend, schedule, and perform network upgrades and improvements Qualified Candidates will have 3 years relevant work experience Experience with ITSM tools in daily operations and reporting (e.g. RemedyForce) Working technical knowledge of current network hardware (Cisco, Meraki, McAfee and F5 preferred) Working knowledge of the TCPIP protocol stack as well as routing related protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRRP) Firewall experience desirable (Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Meraki) Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience Good understanding of the organizationrsquos goals, objectives and core values College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science with a focus on network design and administration Desirable Holds or is working towards network andor security certifications. Knowledge of or certification in ITIL Experience with Continuous Process Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma Strong written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
